Hi, my name is Shaun Davis, one of the co-founders of State Branch and Associates, and the lead director of the Fresh Start Program. I want to personally thank you for taking the time to team up with State Branch & Associates to further the Fresh Start Program.

Fresh Start's goal is to help young people just starting out, people experiencing homelessness, or those facing impoverished situations with education and employment opportunities.

I'm sure you have given someone who looked to be in need, holding a sign that may have said something like "Will work for food," some loose change you had. I bet you thought, as I did while walking away from that person, what if you could do more? Or did you really help that person? And what will their tomorrow look like? Well, with the Fresh Start Program, that is what State Branch had in mind—giving the well-to-do people of our community a platform to do a little more with less out of their pocket and less strain on their family, all while giving them the opportunity to stay in touch or even silently watch the progress of the person in need they helped.

This is how it works:

State Branch is a marketing/promotions firm that specializes in internet marketing, and some of our clients and companies we do promotions for are some of the biggest Fortune 500 companies in the world. These Fortune 500 companies are always trying to understand what the people of the community want and need so they can bring that product into their services and grow their customer base and business. One of the best ways they have come up with to understand the market they are in and what products and services the people want is just by asking them. They do this through free surveys. They also offer cash and prize giveaways to the people who participate in these free surveys that help the company understand their market and what the people want.

And this is where the ingenuity of State Branch and Associates comes into play. The traditional way a marketing company such as State Branch would find the people to complete the surveys for the Fortune 500 companies is by buying leads from a lead generation company and paying $1 to $3 for every person that lead generation company sent to our website to complete the surveys for our clients.

Here at State Branch & Associates, we wanted to do more than just follow tradition. Through State Branch’s community outreach involvement, we noticed there were a lot of young people starting out in life that needed employment opportunities. We also noticed the rise of homelessness and poverty plaguing our community, causing people to take to the streets panhandling.

We at State Branch wanted to be a part of the solution to the lack of opportunity for our youth and the rise of homelessness and poverty on our streets. So we decided that, instead of paying money to lead generation companies for leads, we would create a program that the community can get involved with and that pays for the efforts of young and impoverished people who would otherwise be panhandling, giving them a chance to work and learn with State Branch in our survey lead generation programs. Participants pass out fliers and pull tabs that generate leads for people to complete the free surveys for our Fortune 500 company clients.

In this way, we are able to pay 0.05 cents for every call a Fresh Start Street Team member generates, plus another $0.50 is paid to the Fresh Start Street Team member for every survey their caller (or sponsor) completes for the Fresh Start participant they are sponsoring. The sponsor gets to help the participant in need, getting them paid $0.50 for every free three-minute survey they do. Plus, the sponsor is enrolled in a cash prize giveaway, and the Fortune 500 companies get their marketing data.

Also, if a Fresh Start Street Team member’s work efforts produce a new associate for State Branch, the participant will be paid $5.00.
